Respectful Indian RSVP phrasing

Namkaran / Barsa
“We seek your blessings as we name our son Arjun. Join us for the ceremony and a light lunch. Kindly reply with the number of guests.”
Engagement / Roka
“The families of Anika and Raj invite you to bless the couple as they begin their journey together. Please confirm your presence by the date mentioned.”
Ganesh Chaturthi gathering

Light-hearted RSVP wording guests can use
These are sample replies guests might send, not host prompts. Use sparingly and only when the tone fits your event.
“Two adults, one toddler who only eats plain rice, and a grandmother who will definitely judge the seating.”
“Attending, but only if there is a separate sweets table.”
“Regretfully declining. My calendar is already booked for a nap.”
“Accepts with pleasure. Will bring enthusiasm, a gift, and possibly an extra cousin.”
“Will attend for the food and stay for the family photos.”
How to word the RSVP prompt on your digital invitation
- State the reply deadline clearly, for example 'Kindly reply by 31 January 2027.'
- Ask for the exact count you need, such as 'Total attending from your family: ___'.
- Mention meal preferences, aarti slots or other choices only if they affect planning.
- Give one clear button or link so guests know exactly where to respond.
- Keep the host's final wording and spellings on the invitation creative; JashnPatra does not design the creative.
From wording to a clear guest count
Once your invitation wording is ready, JashnPatra adds a personalised RSVP layer around your finished creative. Guests reply in the browser and every response appears in your host dashboard.
Works for baby showers, naming ceremonies, engagements, birthdays, anniversaries and Ganesh gatherings.
